This Hartford, NY property had all the usual signs of a long winter - leaves blanketing the lawn, sticks and debris scattered under the trees, and beds buried under a season's worth of buildup. Not exactly what you want heading into spring. But that's exactly what we're here for.
Here's what we were working with: a thick layer of leaves covering a good chunk of the yard, downed branches piled up around the base of a large tree, and debris tucked in close to the patio and garden beds. The kind of mess that builds up gradually and suddenly looks like a lot when you're staring at it in April.
We worked through the full property - clearing leaves, hauling debris, and getting the lawn and beds back to a clean baseline. Once everything was cleared out, that grass had room to breathe again. It's one of those jobs where the difference is pretty hard to miss when it's done.
The view from this backyard doesn't hurt either. Sitting on that patio with a valley stretching out behind you is a lot better without leaves and sticks taking up the foreground. Good spring lawn care maintenance sets the yard up well for the rest of the season - a clean start means less catch-up work down the road.
Spring cleanups are one of the most useful things you can do for your property early in the season. Leaves left sitting on the lawn can mat down and choke out grass, and debris around trees and beds just makes everything harder to manage as the weeks go on. Getting ahead of it now saves real time and headaches later.
