This South Glen Falls property had years of leaf buildup working against it. The rock walls out front were barely visible under all the debris, the planting beds were matted down, and the backyard lawn couldn't breathe. It's the kind of thing that sneaks up on you season after season until one day the whole yard just looks defeated.
We worked through the entire property - front to back. The boulder and rock walls along the front of the home got a full clearing. That stonework is actually a nice feature of this property, the kind of natural look that takes years to establish. Once the leaf cover came off, you could actually see what was there. Good bones make a big difference.
Out back, the lawn had a heavy layer of matted leaves sitting on top of the grass. That stuff doesn't just look bad - it blocks sunlight and traps moisture against the turf. Getting it cleared out gives the lawn a real shot at filling in and greening up properly. The difference between a lawn that struggles all season and one that takes off fast usually comes down to what you do early.
The planting beds got cleaned up too. Between the front yard stonework, the backyard lawn, and the beds throughout the property, this was a complete head-to-toe cleanup. That's what it takes sometimes - you can't just do one area and call it done. Everything connects, and when every part of the property is addressed, the whole thing reads clean.
Properties like this one remind us why we enjoy this kind of work. There's a lot already going for this yard. It just needed someone to get in there and clear out what was holding it back.
