Some properties have structures that have just run their course. An old screened porch hanging on by its frame. A deck that's rotted through and sitting on failing posts. Stuff that's been there so long it blends into the background - but it's taking up space, creating a hazard, and holding the property back from being what it could be. That's exactly what we were dealing with out in West Fort Ann.
We tackled three things on this one: a full property cleanup, a screened porch removal, and a deck demo. Jobs like this aren't as simple as they look. You've got to think through the order of operations - what comes down first, how you break it apart without making a bigger mess, and how you keep the surrounding area clean as you go. The screened porch had to be stripped down panel by panel before the frame could come out. The deck was bigger than it looked once we got into it, sitting up on posts with years of debris packed underneath.
The demo work is only part of it. What you're left with after the tear-down matters just as much as the tear-down itself. We cleared all the debris, got the material off the property, and left the ground ready to work with. No piles left behind. No half-done footprint sitting in the yard.
When it's all said and done, the property looks like it has room to breathe again. The backyard opens up, the lawn is accessible, and the homeowner actually has options for what comes next - whether that's a new structure, a clean yard, or just open space they can use. That end result is what we're always aiming for, no matter the size of the job.
Jobs like this come up more than people think. If you've got a structure on your property that needs to go - a deck, a porch, a shed, whatever it is - we can handle the demo, the cleanup, and the haul-away from start to finish.
